Bentley’s new Flying Spur Hybrid now comes with a twist, teaming up with a luxury shoe designer
Bentley’s newest vehicle is one that we guess no one exactly saw coming. A collaboration with a sneaker designer? Bentley has teamed up with footwear designer Dominic Ciambrone also known as ‘The Surgeon’ to create a special variant of the existing Flying Spur Hybrid.
If it weren’t for the press release, we would’ve thought ‘The Surgeon’ was a serial killer and Bentley was desperate for partnerships. He might as well be though, creating a murdered-out royal carriage that is the Flying Spur. Trimmed with gold accents, this winged hotel room on wheels looks like it got touched by Midas himself.
While not much information has been released about the collaboration, definitely not in terms of specs, we can assume that the Flying Spur’s internals have not been touched. This means that this one-off edition is simply an appearance package, like something you’d see off of Pimp My Ride but much less obnoxious.
On the interior is where The Surgeon went to town. His logo is plastered everywhere from the headrests to the dashboard where the marque multiplies itself on top of slick woodgrain. An eggshell white interior is lathered with premium leather and satin bronze piping similar to the pinstriping on the exterior.
While no word has officially been stated on how expensive the special edition will be, we’d recommend you don’t break your piggy bank. Probably costing a pretty penny over the standard Flying Spur’s price, a cool $217,525, private party sales could skyrocket even further. But hey, at least you get a cool pair of sneakers, or do you get a free car with the purchase of those sneakers?
