Dodge Reveals Last Call Variant 2/7 with the Drag Strip Ready Super Bee

When the regular Scat Pack wasn’t enough, you have to bring out something different. See, as of late, the Scat Pack has been getting a little mainstream. Yell at me all you want Mopar owners, it doesn’t change the fact that everyone and their mom has Dodge’s most popular vehicle sitting in their driveway. So, with the Charger line wrapping up and Dodge yelling “Last Call”, variant 2/7 has arrived, the return of the Super Bee.

A throwback to the Super Bee treatment of the 1968-1970 Coronet, this Super Bee is likewise only available in two colors: Plum Crazy and B5 Blue. New badging and decals paint the sides of the new Super Bee, and make it loud and clear exactly what this car is. Based on the Scat Pack, the Super Bee is essentially just a decal package for the same old 6.4 L Hemi that we see all too often… or so we thought.

What makes this bee sting however is the fact that it comes fresh out of the box with drag tires. That’s right, no Drag Pack required. The uniqueness comes from the fact that while the regular Scat Pack Super Bee gets 20-inch wheels on 275’s, the widebody variant receives 18-inch 315s with beadlocks for all the drag launches your silly little mind can come up with. These drag tires completely fill up whatever precious real estate the widebody has to offer, and we’d love to see the fender liners of these cars colored in black from the rubber, what a sight to see.

Underneath is all the same as the ol’ Scat Pack, but it is covered up by a special looking hood. Featuring a hood with dual heat extractors making the Super Bee look even more menacing is another one of the difference makers. Included also are Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers made specifically for drag racing, and a Mopar hood pin kit.

The Super Bee is the second “Last Call” model that Dodge has come out with for the farewell festivities of the Charger and Challenger. More models and special editions will come out in the coming days and weeks with the final reveal being at the Las Vegas SEMA show starting on November 1st going through the 4th.
